Borrowed Phrases: Writing Prompt #322

Sometimes inspiration can come from our reading (probably one of the best reasons for writers to also be readers). An interesting phrase or bit of scene can spark ideas for us.

So for today’s prompt, here is something from Pollyanna:

“What do you mean… by going to the Ladies Aid the other day in that absurd fashion about that beggar boy?”

  1. Oh, I agree. And that’s even apart from chapter titles, which are sometimes references to other books and stories, as we were talking about on the Sky Diaries blog:
