Writing Prompt #266

Sometimes, a character doesn’t work in a story. Maybe they take the spotlight away from the main character, maybe they don’t add anything to the story. Maybe like me, you added a character because you wound up stuck in a certain place in the plot. For whatever reason, on re-writes if we pay attention those extraneous characters have to go.

But could they go to their own story? For today’s prompt, think about a character you’ve dumped from a story you wrote. Place them in their own tale and see what happens. Ha, are they even up to being the protagonist?
