Writing Prompt #203

Because of my daughter’s situation (see yesterday’s prompt), she had to move home. Unfortunately, in the last three months, two of my other kids have also moved back home. My dining room now does double duty as a library. But now I’ve got to pack up my sewing/craft room. And I have no where to put the contents once I do. God, I don’t want to give up that room, but now is not the time to be selfish.

So for today’s prompt, what does your character have to give up? It could be something they loose, or a sacrifice they have to make, giving up a way of life or a place they live. Why do they have to give that thing up? What does it cost them? Where are the opportunities to introduce conflict as your character fights to hold on to that object?
