Writing Prompt #173

For today’s prompt, here is a sentence (from yet another spam email) to get you started:

That night both he and Hardrada occupied a double grave on the right-hand side of the road leading to York.

Why sleep in a grave? And a double one at that. What do they do with the bodies? Do they sleep on top? Sure doesn’t sound like it.

  1. In defiance of the obvious assumption, I found myself wondering at phrasing it as somehow occupying — that is, using — a double-grave accent in conversation. Just two people walking down the road to York, using the word occupy very, very loosely 🙂

    • So they became occupied with accents–ooh those words that mean other things. Still wonder where they slept.
