Writing Prompt #105

One of the biggest pieces of advice for writer’s is to “murder your darlings”. Often, we have pieces of writing that are so evocative, we believe they belong in our story. If we write and re-write and fight to keep a scene or line, it could be a darling. Probably is a darling.

For today’s prompt, take one of your “darlings” from another story–something you removed because you wanted to make it fit so badly you knew it had to go–and use it for today’s writing.
