I read almost anything I can get my hands on and have never limited myself to one genre. But recently, I ran across a genre I’ve never heard of–steampunk. In the last two days, I’ve read several reviews for the upcoming book Escapement by Jay Lake. I went to the bookstore after work to look for it, but it wasn’t available yet, so instead picked up the first book Mainspring. So far, it is mesmerizing.
